A day of health & well-being at the British Gurkha Nepal | Clinic One
Clinic One recently organized a comprehensive health camp at British Gurkha, providing essential medical services to over 80 enthusiastic participants, including staff, family, and friends. The camp featured dedicated senior nurse Jelena and health assistant Pema, who conducted vital health assessments such as blood sugar, BMI, and blood pressure tests. Their expertise ensured that participants received accurate and insightful information about their health, fostering a proactive approach to well-being.
In addition to the primary health assessments, the health camp embraced a holistic approach by incorporating various healthcare facilities by other organizations; thus, attendees had the opportunity to access services related to alcohol and smoking habits, dental care, physiotherapy, and nutritional guidance. This comprehensive approach aimed to address multiple facets of health and encourage a well-rounded understanding of personal well-being.
The event also featured a blood donation camp organized by the Red Cross, emphasizing the importance of community involvement. This initiative not only contributed to potential life-saving efforts but also highlighted the collective responsibility to ensure a robust healthcare system. The health camp at British Gurkha effectively created a platform where individuals could access a spectrum of healthcare services, promoting a culture of preventive care and overall wellness in the community.
