Clinic One provides the JEEV brand against Japanese Encephalitis to our patients.
Indications
It is indicated for active immunization against Japanese Encephalitis in individuals from the age of >= 1 to <= 49 years of age.
Dosage
Pediatric (Children between>=1 to <3 years of age)
The primary vaccination schedule consists of two separate doses of 0.25 ml each according to the following schedule:
First Dose: day 0
Second Dose: 28 days after the first dose.
Children, Adolescents, and Adults (>=3 to <=49 years)
The primary vaccination schedule consists of two separate doses of 0.5 ml each according to the following schedule:
First Dose: Day 0
Second Dose: 28 days after the first dose.
Shelf Life
The vaccine should be used completely within 1 hour after the vial is opened and/ or reconstituted.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the vaccine or vaccine components. Individuals who show hypersensitivity reactions after receiving the first dose should not be given the second dose.
- The administration must be postponed in persons with acute severe febrile conditions.
- Patients with thrombocytopenia, Hemophilia and bleeding disorders
Precautions
- In the rare case of an anaphylactic reaction, appropriate medical treatment and supervision should be readily available for use
- The use of the Vaccine during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended.
Adverse reactions
- Local: pain at the site of injection, redness, swelling, edema, hematoma, and pruritus.
- Systemic: Fever, Asthenia/drowsiness, Headache, Myalgia/arthralgia.
- Gastrointestinal disorders. Behavioral changes, skin disorders
