Regular Health Package – Clinic One Kathmandu
In today’s fast-paced world, maintaining good health is more important than ever. Regular health checkups play a crucial role in early detection and prevention of various medical conditions.
A regular health checkup can indicate signs of health issues if any, which also means you can mitigate or proactively prevent health issues.
Various factors such as age, health, family history, and lifestyle choices have direct and indirect impacts on our bodies. These must be identified timely.
Preparation for Full Body Checkup
There are certain things to be considered before your full body checkup which can help for accurate results about your overall health condition.
- Do not eat/drink anything except water before your test.
An empty stomach is needed for some of your blood tests, including Ultrasound. (Fasting for at least 8-10 hours is needed.) - Drink a lot of water before your Full Body Checkup Appointment as your bladder must be full during the Ultrasound process.
- Wear loose-fitting clothes and avoid wearing jewelry while coming for your test.
- Inform the medical professionals prior if you are pregnant or planning for pregnancy.
- For females, you should avoid full body checkups within a week before or after your menstrual period.
- We do not recommend performing a Full Body Checkup the next day after a night party.
- For accurate results, do not change anything in your diet or lifestyle while preparing for a Full Body Checkup.
Which tests are included in the Regular Full Body Checkup Package?
This package is suitable for anyone who is planning to have a yearly whole-body checkup at a very reasonable price. The tests done are –
1. Complete Blood Count (CBC)
CBC is a routine blood test that assesses your overall health and helps identify various conditions, such as anemia, infections, and leukemia.
This test measures the features and components of red blood cells, white blood cells, hemoglobin, hematocrit, and platelets.
The abnormality observed in the counts of these components will indicate whether further examination is required or not.
2. Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR)
ESR test is a blood examination that helps identify inflammation in the body and track the progression of inflammatory diseases.
This test helps to evaluate unexplained fever along with some types of arthritis and symptoms that affect the muscles.
It also helps in diagnosing certain conditions such as Gaint cell arteritis, Polymyalgia rheumatic, and rheumatoid arthritis.
3. Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS)
The Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS) test measures blood glucose levels after an overnight fast.
A normal fasting blood sugar level is below 100 mg/dL. Levels between 100 and 125 mg/dL indicate prediabetes, and levels of 126 mg/dL or higher suggest a risk of diabetes.
4. Lipid Profile
A Lipid Profile is a blood test that measures cholesterol and triglyceride levels, helping to assess the risk of plaque buildup in the arteries, which can lead to coronary artery disease. This test is crucial for evaluating the risk of heart-related conditions.
5. Kidney Function Test
The Kidney Function Test includes two key tests: the Albumin to Creatinine Ratio (ACR) and the Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR).
The ACR test checks for albumin in the urine, which can be an early sign of kidney damage, while the GFR test measures kidney function through blood analysis, helping to identify the stage of kidney disease if present.
6. Liver Function Test
Liver Function Tests are blood tests used to monitor liver health by measuring enzyme and protein levels in the blood. Some tests assess the liver’s ability to produce proteins and clear bilirubin, while others measure enzyme levels released by liver cells in response to damage or disease.
7. Uric Acid
The Uric Acid test is typically recommended when there is joint pain or a risk of gout or kidney stones.
Elevated levels of uric acid in the blood can indicate gout or contribute to the formation of kidney stones unknowingly.
8.Thyroid Function Test (TFT)
Thyroid Function Tests are a series of blood tests used to evaluate how well the thyroid gland is working. The tests include:
TSH: Helps diagnose subclinical hypothyroidism, which may not show obvious symptoms.
T3: Assesses if the thyroid produces too much hormone or if the pituitary gland is not producing enough hormones.
T4: Measures the level of thyroxine (T4) in the blood, which plays a role in metabolism and growth.
9. Stool Examination with Occult Blood
Stool Analysis involves a series of tests on a stool sample to diagnose abnormalities in the digestive system.
This test can identify infections, bacterial activity, poor nutrient absorption, and even cancer.
10. Urine Examination
Urinalysis consists of multiple tests performed on a urine sample to detect signs of diseases or conditions such as kidney disease, liver disease, diabetes, or cancer at an early stage, enabling timely treatment.
11. Ultrasound
An Ultrasound is a non-invasive imaging technique that uses high-frequency sound waves to monitor internal body activities.
This package includes the abdomen and pelvis USG, providing a comprehensive evaluation of the body’s metabolism.
12. ECG
An Electrocardiogram (ECG) is a painless test that records the electrical activity of the heart, represented graphically. It is useful for diagnosing various heart conditions across all age groups.
13. Chest X-ray *
X-ray is the common process of imaging the inside structure of the body without having to make an incision.
This package involves an x-ray of the chest. It evaluates the lungs, chest wall, and heart which further helps to diagnose shortness of breath, persistent cough, fever, chest pain, or injury.
14. Serum Calcium
The Serum Calcium test measures the level of calcium in your blood. Calcium is essential for bone health, nerve function, and muscle contraction.
Abnormal calcium levels can indicate issues such as bone disorders, kidney problems, or parathyroid gland dysfunction. This test helps in diagnosing and monitoring conditions related to calcium imbalances in the body.
15. BMI Test
BMI is the value derived from the mass and height of the person. The formula used to calculate BMI is:
BMI= Mass/(height)^2
BMI is a test done to determine if a person is underweight, normal weight, overweight or obese.
If the BMI value is less than 18.5 it is considered underweight, 18.5 to 25 is considered normal weight, 25 to 29.9 is considered overweight and if the BMI is more than or equal to 30 it is considered obese.
16. Peak Expiratory Flow Rate (PEFR)
The Peak Expiratory Flow Rate (PEFR) test measures how quickly a person can exhale air, which helps assess the function of the lungs and detect any respiratory issues.
17. General Physician Consultation
You will also get a Free General Physician Consultation that provides a thorough evaluation of your overall health. All your test reports will be collected and reviewed by our general physician.
They ensure your health concerns are addressed and refer you to specialists when needed, making them your first point of contact for comprehensive healthcare.
